MAPPING, SKETCHING, CRAFT PRODUCTION

As a designer, my mission transcends the creation of objects, such as the graphic and visual identity of the "Letters of Peace" project;

My commitment is to fuse the cultural diversity of Colombia in every stroke and colour. Each design tells a story not only of our heritage, but also of the communities that flourish in every corner of the country. It is more than aesthetics; it is a passionate dialogue with form and colour that highlights the beauty of our diversity.

PROTOTYPING

During the production phase, I had the opportunity to work closely with Don Duban, a passionate mechanic specialising in bakery bikes.

Focusing on cost, sustainability and time efficiency criteria, we opted to manufacture the frame and its components in steel. In addition, we carefully selected a range of essential spare parts that not only meet the expected functionality and performance requirements, but also fit within the designed aesthetic parameters and previously established

To start with the sketching process of those materialities that accompany the structure of the bicycle I made a mapping of the local craft options availables such as weaving in natural fibres, copper crafts (metalwork), basketry and local screen printing.
